That’s my point. The ball clearly touched the ground during the catch. I don’t know of any sport where catches are a thing where that would be a catch.
The ball can touch the ground, you just can’t use the ground to secure the catch.

As long as your knee or ass or body doesn’t hit the ground while being tackled it’s a “play on”
College rules are different.
