If I’m the Texans DC, the first thing I do is punch Bobby Slowik right in the fucking mouth. Then I take his paycheck. I don’t think I e ever witnessed more abject football stupidity than that penultimate drive.
Matt Ryan and Bill Cowher had a discussion on this postgame. Ryan argued what most people were thinking, that the Bills should have run the ball three times, but Cowher defended the passes.
Personally, I think it’s risky, but not indefensible. Also to consider; pass plays will likely take longer than running plays, so passing even though incomplete, burned more time off the clock than running. Of course, passing you risk a penalty in your end zone to end the game too. Frankly, had it been me, I take the 10 second runoff then play for OT.
For some reason the other day I remembered that WR that BOB took in the first round who was always hurt in college and couldn’t catch so he gets to the NFL and whaddaya know he’s always hurt and still can’t catch.
It took me forever to remember his name and I forgot it again just now, that’s the sort of impact he had during his tenure with the team.
Nothing warms my heart more than crowd shots of those cheating chowder slurpers getting mad at the PI call right after a no call for tripping goes their way.
