I think they got the guy they wanted.
I’ve wondered about that too, obviously. I’m always skeptical when any team takes a quarterback with a top three pick because those picks are so valuable and quarterback play in the NFL is so hard to project, but so far it looks like Stroud belongs in the league, which is outSTANding news.
Plus, you gotta like anyone called CJ.

That’s a $2 handle.
Well, shit. I’m not a IVth, not even a junior. Gotta work with what you have, I guess.
That was the best half of Texans football in four years.
The bits that I saw were downright competent, if you’re willing to ignore the illegal motion and defensive offsides. The running game seemed surprisingly effective. Stroud was putting passes in good places.

Just can’t stop the run. This is not a new problem.
Well, it was fun while it lasted.
I can’t figure out which collapse to watch.
Holy shit!
Texas run a kick off back…and it was the up man. Who fumbled the catch.
UN REAL
When he got past the kicker I thought, Man, he’s going to get a nice return here. Never for a moment did it occur to me that no one would catch him.

He was running like Machete. I figured at best he’d get to their own 30
Backup TE did some work
Ok, boys…three score lead, 12 minutes to play
