I thought the grounding call counted as a sack, but it does not. I stand corrected. What a job both the line and Stroud have done in that area.
OC had a hell of a gameplan today too
They ran the ball. That opens up so much in the passing game. Been a while since they had both aspects working.
They didn’t just run, they gashed. It was eye-opening.
Lots of motion and a few screens mixed it. It was pretty to watch.
I just finally finished watching the game. I’m not sure if the rule is different in college, or that I just misunderstand it, but if the pass is caught behind the LOS, I thought the lineman could be downfield.
At any rate, the OC had all those edge runs dialed up on the first series. Really set the tone, not only how successful they were, but also to let those two edge rushers know that they had more on their plate than blasting around the tackle.
And Collins, wow, he’s really blossomed into a threat.
Pretty sure in the NFL that you can’t be a lineman downfield more than 3-4 yards before the ball is caught.
I believe you are correct. NCAA rules allow linemen past the line of scrimmage if the ball is caught behind it. The NFL does not.
Texans defense getting shredded by the worst offense in the league. Ugh.
Shooting themselves in the dick with pre-snap penalties.
It appears increasingly likely that Bill Bellicheck has entered his late-stage Tom Landry phase.
Not having a prime career Tom Brady will do that to a coach.
He doesn’t even have a Danny White.
Good drive at the end of the half to take the lead, but gotta finish these drives in the 2H
Yeah, I’m happy that they’re not so shitty that we can worry about normal football things.
Is Dell hurt?
It looked like he conked his head against the turf on that amazing catch he made towards the end of the first half. It wouldn’t surprise me if someone decided he had a concussion.
Yep, banged his head, went to the locker room early, wasn’t wobbly or symptomatic. Was mentioned at halftime that he’s possible to return today.
Yeah, I recall that.
Hate to see Bijan fumble, but if he has to, this is the game.
I guess 10 field goals are as good as four touchdowns, but good grief, gotta finish some drives here, guys.
