This stuff is scarily good already.
This isn’t all about autotune; he discusses how the computerized tinkering with every element of song production means that it’s a very short step to songwriters and musicians being replaced by AI.
I used to watch Rick Beato’s channel, but he’s become the proverbial “old man yelling at clouds”, mostly ranting about how artists don’t want him using their songs without permission. He does some good stuff, but he’s just become an insufferable whiner.
Well, I’ve concluded that in his work, Beato is exposed to a shit ton of terrible music. I’ve also concluded that the Texans should replace Cal with AI. At least one of them will get smarter over time.

This is an experiment I could get behind.
Not to sidetrack too much, but there were some examples of publishers ignoring ‘fair use’ that were pretty egregious. But I did/do find those rants too long/numerous.
He just did a 45 minute video on Wichita Lineman.
And to get back on topic they should 100% let AI be the next GM.
I have completely lost track of the topic and why we’re discussing AI, but I’m pretty sure chuck does NOT eat at the Waffle House.
I generally enjoy his “What makes this song great” breakdowns. There’s some really interesting stuff in there.

I don’t think Beato whines enough. Most music released today is terrible. If he is an old man screaming at the clouds, then the old man is also a meteorologist. I quit watching him because I got tired of him pimping his “Beato Book” plus he kind of always just generally annoyed me. Maybe it’s the hair…
