Site update and e-mail fixes

Some of you may have noticed that e-mail coming from the site has been broken recently. I didn’t notice this until a couple days ago, so whoops and apologies. It’s been fixed now.

I also installed some updates for the first time in a while. As a result, some areas of the forum may be a little sluggish the first time you click on them, but things should pick up as more posts get loaded into active memory.

There are a few new features here and there but nothing really worth noting at this time. If you come across any problems please PM me.

Why are the old games popping randomly?

Has something changed with the site software recently, or am I getting jobbed by an iOS upgrade? For some reason, responding to posts has become much more difficult, with the “Reply” button often getting completely obscured by the address bar at the bottom of my iPhone screen. Am I the only person for whom this is happening?

The reply experience on an iPad is pretty poor.

With The Void upon us I guess this is as good as any place to thank Waldo and others for another great season here at OWA. Thank you all for keeping this forum rolling. I love being a part of it and it always makes every season better no matter what brand of baseball the team is playing year to year.

Totally agree. Hudson, Waldo and everyone else, thanks for keeping the big freight train rolling down the tracks.

I haven’t experienced the issues that Austro and Chuck have mentioned. The site does need some updates which at this point I’m planning to install once we hit the void. Not sure if those will fix any specific random bugs or not, but it’s always worth a shot.

Mine just started recently, and I’m suspicious of an iOS and/or Safari change.

I have the same issues on my (iOS) iPhone using Safari. The strange thing is that it’s intermittent. It started after an update a few months ago. One more data point for @waldo

I’m posting this from my IPhone using the Brave browser. No issues detected.

Do you have more of a Sir Robin type browser to try as a control?
