It’s almost intentional trolling, but REM did age gracefully. Automatic is one of my favorite albums in any genre.
Barring a miracle, this team is last wildcard one and done at best.
Tonight’s effort overall has been pathetic.

I don’t know where Achtung Baby fits in your U2 theory, but after that they’ve got a few good songs buried in a pile of self important drivel.
That glug, glug sound you hear is this team slipping beneath the waves.
I really like Automatic, but when I first heard it I went “holy shit…well this is different”. I can take it in doses now. I will say Find The River is an absolutely gorgeous song even though it’s really depressing.
