Yep. And it would’ve been awful for the S&R teams to have found it with the hull intact, knowing that they might have survived had it been found sooner.

They were an hour and half in their descent, so I guess at least several thousand feet deep, when they lost contact. If that’s when a hull implosion occurred, it was instantaneous. It would be like a five hand grenades going off in your mouth.
