Royals @ Astros 8-25-21

Walk 8 and 9 to get to Merrifield. Brilliant strategy.

Just pathetic.

Throw strikes to the bottom of the order.

So McCullers walks the eight and nine-hole hitters to load the bases, and Dusty turns to his fifth or sixth best reliever to face the Royals second-best hitter. Stupid Lance and stupid Dusty.

I feel unreasonably convinced that the next two and half innings are extremely important for the Astros season.

Javier is what, our fifth choice in that spot?

Beyond idiotic.

Javier had inherited 2 runners the entire season.

Dusty Baker is the worst fucking strategic coach in the history of baseball.

Just epicly stupid.

He’s not a fucking setup man for this team, especially not with the upgrades at the trade deadline. Kendall Graveman was the easy choice, and Baker blew another late-inning decision against the fucking Royals. A third loss against them because of Dusty may be forthcoming.

Fucking infuriating.

ā€œMay beā€?

If you haven’t faced the reality, here it is. A team cannot win a title with Dusty Baker as manager. It’s simply not going to happen.

Come on offense.

You’ve got 2 runs and a manager to overcome.

It’s almost like there’s two decades worth of evidence for this.

It’s the seventh fucking inning and the Astros are capable of scoring enough runs in their last nine outs to win this game, in spite of Dusty.

Baker thinks all his relievers are the same. He brings in them according to whose turn it is. We do not have anyone in the Will Harris crucial out role.

Baker is an idiot for having that philosophy. All pitching decisions should be turned over to Strom for the remainder of this season, but Espada would be a much better manager at this point. The Astros do have the guy for the Harris 2019 role, and that is Kendall Graveman.

Sparks crying yard loudly.

So were the YTers

…and hadn’t pitched in a week.

Just brilliant strategery by Dusty.

Altuve is an out machine.

Diaz with an RBI knock!
