Sad to see. But the right move.
Brandon Walter called up as corresponding move.

What a shame. Hopefully we can get something out of it on trade side. Expectations are low of course but there are terrible teams that outta want to take a chance on him that may have an underperforming left handed bat we could grab and roll the dice on. Maybe Kelenic from ATL.
Proof that prospects are just that, prospects.
What’s the old adage in baseball, there’s no such thing as a pitching prospect?
Whitley traded to Rays. Return not yet known.
Cash.
Not the manager, unfortunately.
Espada says Paredes may not need the IL but this makes me skeptical.
With Paredes and Melton out, Dubon will need to play somewhere nearly every day. So calling up another infielder makes sense. The move itself doesn’t imply to me that Paredes will be out for four years, it’s everything else that does.
They’re now saying Paredes will be back for the next series, and I’m not sure if I should be very happy or very dubious
Have they ever admitted what the issue was? Hammy? Quad?
Really looking forward to seeing the Space Cowboys take on the Twins.
Hamstring discomfort
I thought yesterday’s lineup looked like a ST split-squad game and they went out and scored 10 runs so what the hell do I know?
Wrap it up tight with an Ace Bandage and send him back out. Hell, if he was a Hockey player he’d tell them between periods, to cut if off at the knee and stick a peg on it, then he’d be ready to finish the game.
Need the “magic spray” those soccer players use
Dubious. Yordan was gonna miss a couple of days. I’ll believe Paredes will be back when they put him in the lineup, until then I’m just going to assume he died
Whitcomb optioned, Melton to IL, per Rome. Paredes stays on active roster.
Also, Arrighetti to the 60-day IL, retroactive to whenever, Cooper Hummel (who was apparently signed about 36 hours ago) called up
Boom!
Helluva lineup today putting many recent rosters moves to use.
