¿porque no los dos?
It could be really embarrassing if the wrong switch was flipped when he took the field. He could coger the field, but not the way intended.
Espada confirms it’s TJ
Enable sarcometer - At least the team tends to spread these out (2-3 pitchers lost via injury each year) so that we are seemly always in a position to get one back around the time we lose one.
Speaking of pitchers set to come back…what is the latest on Spencer? I thought a remember June being the target return date when his thumb was broken.
Just started playing catch. Haven’t seen a target date recently.
That’s the injury that really gets me. I get that guys are throwing their arms off and everyone’s going to need TJS at some point. But a broken thumb off a batting practice fly ball… shit, man.
We should start a new contest: Race for the Sling or some such, where we try to guess how many starts we’ll get out of the Opening Day rotation.
Brilliant
I just assumed his career was over
Don’t worry, there is plenty of time for the eventual “soreness setback”.
I had a lot of hand and wrist soreness when I was about 14. It wasn’t baseball related, though.
Or he can get hit in the hand by one of the journeymen.
I had not thought about this advantage of having your AAA and AA teams in close proximity to your MLB club. Especially for a DH. He doesn’t need games, he needs at bats and you get to see your minor league guys face a really good hitter too.
…a classic win-win.
Chas to IL with oblique strain, Whitcomb recalled
this is killing me:
Astros general manager Dana Brown said Yordan Alvarez has a small fracture in his right hand that’s 60 percent healed. It was found after the inflammation went down. He won’t be swinging a bat for a while but will return in the “near future.”
Literally fuck me.
Melton up. No corresponding move yet. Dezenzo? Rodgers?
They could just send Whitcomb back down. That move didn’t make sense since Chas was the backup CF.
