Spurs take game seven. It was a pretty good game, OKC kept falling behind and then catching back up. End the end, the Spurs were just better. They now face the New York Knickerbockers for the NBA Championship.
This series convinced me that SGA is just Harden with better playoff performances.
At least SGA has a championship. SGA had no help in game 7. Holmgren shot the ball 2 times. The better team won but the outcome would have likely been much different with a healthy Jalen Williams and AJ Mitchell.

There’s no doubt that SGA is better. But the hideous style of play is the same.

Exactly. People shit on him because of the way he plays but the way he plays has been extremely effective. He is just gaming with what he can get away with. He is not cheating. And he still only draws half as many fouls per flop as Luka.
Not saying he’s cheating in the slightest. I’m saying his style of play sucks to watch.

I’m not a fan of all of the flopping and weak play either. I miss 80’s-90’s style of NBA play. But I do like and respect what SGA has done. He’s a smart player, a team player and it seems like he’s a good guy off the court too. Harden is and always has been a quitter and whiner. There’s a reason he will retire with no rings.
Wemby is the only player in NBA playoff history with 15+ blocks and 15+ three point shots.
Much like the ‘94 NBA Finals against the Houston Rockets (that Rockets team will always be one of my favorite ever), here’s hoping the ny knicks lose to a team from Texas.

1994 I remember game 5 when NBC decided that the OJ Simpson low-speed chase was of greater interest than a basketball game. The Knickerbockers won that game to go up 3-2 but we all know who won the series.
All’s well that ends well, but that still pisses me off.

I remember that vividly.
Fortunately, OJ has taken a dirt nap, so the Spurs won’t be interrupted while playing the knickerbockers because he’s on the run again.
The real killers may still be out there.
