This organization needs to throw whatever it takes at Yuli to get him to remove the curse from 1b.
Bases loaded, nobody out, you get 1. This is why you’re losing to the laughingstock of the league.
I’m beginning to question the franchise’s preference for light-hitting first basemen.
Not a problem. He’s got 2 1/2 years to figure it out.
That was an A+ tag.
I don’t think “embarrassing” is an adequate adjective for tonight’s performance.
Not to worry, Alvarez must be up to 61% healed.
Has there ever been a team that’s been good for a decade that can’t beat the worst teams like the Astros?
When this team misses the postseason, they should look squarely at throwing away three games to a team that makes the 2013 Astros look like world-beaters.
Especially truly terrible AL Central teams
I’m not saying you’re wrong, but I don’t really look at it that way. Lance walked way too many guys, and this offense is just not good.
Dubón is not the answer to the team’s problems, but I would start him every game until Yordán returns and move him and Altuve around as needed.
I’m not too messed up over this loss. We lost to a bad team, but also to a a pitcher that has been damn good all season. Flush this one and find a way to win the last two games of this series and we are good. The bullpen is rested, so gotta hope Gusto can give us 4-5 solid innings today.
The Melton Experiment needs to end, or at least be reined in. He should be a spot player, not starting. And letting him hit in the 9th on Sunday, with the tying run on base, when you had both Altuve and Caratini available is managerial malpractice.
Brice Matthews has been on a pretty solid run over the past month and a half. I’m kinda wondering if he might get a shot at 2B soon if he can keep it up and if Melton doesn’t turn the corner in short order.
