I disagree. If I’m managing a group of people, I better care what they have to say if I’m making a major change like this at a less than ideal time. There’s more to managing people than data and numbers on a spreadsheet. Regardless of the data, they have to buy in to the change for it to work.
Either way, between catcher, 1B and DH, Dusty needs to give Diaz at least 4-5 starts per week moving forward.

I was mistaken: he pitched Sunday and Monday, not Monday and Tuesday.
Ideally you’d have Abreu or Neris for extras so you could get Ks. But our whole bullpen was used up because our starters continue to believe that if they pitch through the fifth inning, they and their whole family will die.
He had been pitching well the last few times out. Not last night.
