Red Sox at Astros, 8/21/23

Wow, this is like a denial-league game tonight. Unreal.

My wife’s grandparents had a friend who worked highway construction.

When he started they put him on the Gulf Freeway.

He had a full career and never worked on another highway.

Holy shit they are butchers tonight

PeƱa with a seeing eye single, Yainer hustles to 3B

They’re still working on it.

How are the Red Sox eight games above .500 with this defense?

They lead the league in errors. And the Yankees just dropped four straight to them.

End of six…7-4 Astros

Ok boys, 4:30 comes early. Bring it home.

Apropos of nothing, I could google this but just posting it here for fun, is there any rule against a runner using a 2-foot ā€œoven mittā€ when running the bases? Have they put any limitations on those?

Neris pitching.

Foul-tip strikeout. 1 out.

6-3. 2 outs.

Strikeout looking. Inning over. 7-4 Astros through the top of the 7th.

Maldy very talkative in his AB.

Looked to be having a pleasant conversation.

2 pitch strikeout for Maldy. Couldn’t stop talking to the opposing catcher

Good looking swing there from Alex.

Breggy having a night.

I’ve wondered this myself. Saw a game earlier this year where a call at the plate was under review. Runner was safe because his go-go gadget base running mitt reached the plate ahead of the tag. Upheld, and the subject didn’t come up. I was surprised.
