The other team was trying too. Gibson was terrific…mixed his pitches, threw lots of strikes, and took advantage of a huge zone. This is one of those “tip your cap” games.
I agree, but those are much easier to swallow when the team didn’t have nearly so many games when they beat themselves.
No question they’ve stepped on their dicks a plenty. But tonight was just a great game by the other pitcher.
And the Astros ain’t making the postseason, so you’ll be out of your misery soon.
