He is, at minimum, an average left fielder - I’d probably say a little above average.

People who don’t pay attention think because he came up as a DH, he must not be very good fielder, forgetting that at the time the Astros still had Springer (And Brantley, Tucker, and Reddick) and having Alverez at DH was just the quickest way to get his bat in the line-up.
That was the narrative about him beginning in RR. Baker was guilty of it too. I saw him play LF and 1B at RR, and he was fine at both.

Bregman is historically a very slow starter. and he was a popout machine early in 2019 too, is my recollection. I think he’ll be fine.
