Espada pulling two of his five or six major league quality hitters in the late innings for defense and speed almost bit him in the ass, but Iâm glad it worked out. Much needed win.

I think heâs managed his ass off all year. The front office and Josh Miller get a lot of credit for this team being where it is but Espada should get a ton of credit too. This team has no business being in first place and 18 games over .500

I wasnât saying Espada has done a bad job. They have no business being 56-39 with all these injuries. As you said, Abreu and Hader not holding things down for one of the few times this season was the problem.
I would have liked to see Short try to steal second in the ninth with one out and Yainer up.
