I’ll gladly take a vacation for another title.
I’m not a footer fan.
Speaking of “not a fan”… Why does Stephen A. Smith still have a job?
Because the Yankees need an advocate, a loud one
I don’t get Footer’s comment. She doesn’t work for free. She might not like him or his content but he has a right to make a living.
Kuechels remarks today
“We’re always going to be World Series champs because we were talented and to me, we earned the right to be World Series champs."
“Just because stuff came out about the 2017 Astros doesn’t mean other teams weren’t doing illegal stuff. It just means that we were the ones that were caught.”
The fact is, they weren’t even caught, they were snitched out.
I maintain that had Taubman not been a jackass, none of this happens.
That argument goes both ways. If Reiter has a right to make a living, then Stephen A. Smith, Chris Russo, Pete Rose, all of the NYY/BOS/LAD honks in the media, and every other anti-Astros person we’ve vilified here have the same right.
My guess is Footer has a bit of an ax to grind with Reiter. She’s been closely associated with the Astros for close to two decades and is clearly a fan of the team. Reiter had no skin in the game before making a wild-ass guess six years ago (one that, by his own admission, wasn’t solely his own conclusion), profited well from that prediction luckily panning out through no fault of his own, and now might be seen as more of an authority on the Astros than Footer and other people close to her (like McTaggart and even Justice). Now he stands to profit further from the org’s dick-stepping, and I could see how she might think getting a podcast/TV deal out of this shit is overly opportunistic.

And who says there can be only one chronicler of the team? Look how many baseball writers there are.
Roger Angel should not have written about NY baseball because Roger Kahn did? There must be something personal going on here.
For some reason I’m surprised to see Keuchel emerge as a defender of the club. Glad to see it.
It’s at least a little petty. Maybe something personal too.
True, but what he also doing is just stoking the fire. I know it’s going to be a long season for us, but we don’t need crap like this needling the mob throughout the season.
I would imagine that Footer is of the opinion that, just like the MLB ignoring all the other evidence other teams were doing it and only focusing on the Astros, this is simply jumping on the bandwagon and ignoring the overriding issue.
Or maybe he’s just a hacky fuckwad trying to make a quick buck on an already beaten to death horse.
I wonder if he will call it Son of Astrosball? Astrosball Revisited?
And then there is this turd nugget; https://www.yardbarker.com/mlb/articles/astros_cheating_scandal_to_be_subject_of_true_crime_podcast_tv_show/s1_8061_31310936
Castrating The Astros Balls?
17 k world series performer weighs in on a matter totally unrelated to him
Yes because Judge has never done anything against the rules.
