I thought Snell was pitching better than either of his games against Astros, but he def hit a wall in the 5th. He hasn’t pitched 6 innings in a game all year. Same 5 inning pitcher he was in his Cy Young year. Never should have beat Verlander for that single reason. If he threw as many innings as JV, his ERA would have been twice what it was. Great if you can keep your team in a game for 5 innings, but no way does that make you an ace or worthy of CYA.
He threw a million pitches in those few innings. Good stuff, poor command.
