I mentioned it a while ago, and I know they’re not perfect, but I’d love for that TBS crew to do every single national broadcast from now on.
I like the color component a lot but Gary Johnson’s voice has this flat raspy insisting quality I can’t stand, and he leaves absolutely nothing unsaid.
The Dodgers have a great lineup, but I do not understand WTF pitchers continue to throw Bellinger fastballs. 2017 exposed his inability to hit the back foot slider so why give him fastballs to hit?
If the flawed Astros team was going to be eliminated eventually, I am so glad it was by the Rays and not by LAD.
PS Betts is so good. Damn the Red Sox for giving him to the Dodgers.
One of the things I love about baseball is that an average sized person can be the best player in the game. That doesn’t happen in football or basketball, I guess that’s not true for hockey or soccer either.
Messi is 5’7" if you’re feeling generous. I don’t know if he was ever the best player in the sport, but he was top very few for a very long time.
Yeah, I thought of him and Maradona. And then I thought Wayne Gretzky is smallish for a NHL player.
We may have judged the Braves baserunning too harshly. Here’s an excerpt from their training video:
May allowed 2 out runs in consecutive innings.
5-0.
Lowe has 2 homers.
2 out walk and a Taylor homer make it 5-2.
LAs first hit.
5 runs ain’t gonna beat these Dodgers. Rays have to keep their foot down.
2-out walk to the 8-hole hitter. Damn shame.
Snell got squeezed, then Taylor homered. 5-2 Rays in a game which may take 8 hours.
Snell is done.
Another 2 out walk.
I think every run the Dodgers have scored this season has come with two outs in the inning. Just cannot let up.
Bye bye Blake.
Anderson in with 2 out/2 on.
4 OFers for Turner.
2-0, then blows him away with 3 straight FBs.
May’s slider was his undoing.
Here’s hoping the rest of the LA pen has similar issues.
Watching Kelly get hit, and Ji Man fly is enjoyable.
