Postseason 2020

216 pm nervous this day is dragging

I was thinking what Luis Garcia’s goals for the season might have been back in January. He was probably thinking to get promoted to AA and maybe make it to Round Rock by the end of the season. That way, he would be poised to compete for a ML roster spot in '21.

I would not think that in his wildest dreams he believed he would be starting in the ALCS.

Braves knock Kershaw out in the 6th. 3-1 lead, somewhere in North Texas

Now it’s 5-1.

Didn’t pay much attention to the NL until the postseason.

The Braves are a really good, really fun team.

Yeah, I have seen virtually no NL baseball prior to postseason, but anyone who’s pounding the Dodgers is fun to watch.

I wonder how the Braves cheated tonight?

Love it

Lineup shakeup for both teams.

Diaz has played eight games in left field in his career. One this year, and four last year.

I’m all for Diaz over Reddick in the batting order, but why put him in LF over Brantley? And why swap Altuve and Brantley back? You were scoring more runs with Brantley hitting between Springer and Altuve. Perhaps it really doesn’t make much difference, but why shake it up now?

I guess Brantley’s ankle still isn’t in great shape

Maybe that’s it. Doesn’t make much sense unless Brantley was not quite 100%

Dusty said Mike can’t run yet.

Baker has never had a set lineup and has moved Brantley and Altuve often. Maybe Brantley’s foot still is hurting.

If Brantley’s foot is still bothering him, makes sense for him to DH. As for set lineup, I get it, just seemed that Brantley then Altuve has worked out the last few days. Surprised is all.

The numbers guys may have calculated something with this particular pitching matchup.

It ain’t all bedside flashlights.

Thought this was interesting. SIAP.

And yes, I posted a Jomboy tweet. He actually had a pretty good video on the HR (which ties into the follow-up above).
