Padres @ Astros, May 30, 2021

So our win probability should be 100%?

Tying run on deck

I wonder if McTaggart moved his win probability down from 100% this time.

Make mine a double.

Or just leave the bottle.

What exactly have the Astros done to offend the baseball gods

Astros squeak out a win

It’s a baseball miracle!

Strikeout! Whew!

Well done by Grienke and the bats.

Astros only got five hits, but managed 7 runs.

I think they said 3 walks ended up scoring.

Unlike Friday when all 10 walks failed to score.

I did my part by starting Snell in both my fantasy leagues.

Maddening to me:

The Astros were an inexplicably dodged HBP and a missed pop up from sweeping the Padres.

He got ready quickly.

Losing 2 out of 3 to the Padres is not an embarrassment.

Leading all 3 then giving up 22 runs from the 8th inning on is an embarrassment.

Innings 1-7: Astros 15 Padres 3

Innings 8+ : Padres 22 Astros 3.

Many of those runs would not have scored if Altuve had taken the HBP and if Jones had caught the pop up.

Agreed

Their teammates let them down, but they are paid to put that behind them and get outs.

Just like those guys are paid to make those plays.

I am not absolving the BP; they must pitch through errors and dumb plays and must shut the opponent down. The pen was terrible as many have posted, and I agree completely. I am just saying they would never have been on the field if Altuve and Jones had made simple plays.
