With the NFL season a little more than a month away, who is interested in playing again? It’s free to play, but if some owners want to play for a side pot, they can do that as well.

I’ve never played with you all but would have some interest if you end up needing someone to fill the league out. I was heaving into fantasy football for years but my friends league fell apart two years ago so I’m clueless about it now. Will take me a year or two to be competitive I bet. Know that going in if you take me. No hard feelings if you don’t.

I’ve found myself watching significantly less NFL recently, too, thanks in large part to the Nexans’ aggressive incompetence, but I’ve never considered not knowing what I’m doing any particular hindrance so I’m in.

We are now at 10 owners, so does anyone have a preference on when we draft? Please share your thoughts here.

I don’t have any preferred or problem dates before Labor Day.

I prefer an evening over a morning. Next Sunday evening would be optimal.

Any interest in tweaking the scoring? Like just use the yahoo default scoring settings. Currently things are too TD heavy imo.

I don’t disagree with you. I’ve always thought 15 yards per point was excessive for skill position players.

That said, if the group wants to change it, we can, but that would take at least six (out of 10) owners saying they have interest in doing so.

Also, I’ve set a draft date for next Sunday, Sept. 3 (Labor Day Weekend Sunday) at 6:30 CDT (7:30 EST).

Cool. I’ll do my best but may take me this season to get back in the swing of things. Hopefully I’ll be more competitive next season if you allow me to keep playing.
