Well, that sounds kinda fucked up.

Can’t speak for your neck of the woods, but in the Texas Gulf fishing limits have done wonders.

The Wallabies have definitely been on a down swing the last ten plus years (driving me to drink in the process). On paper they should’ve been run off the pitch by Ireland, who is one of the top three teams in the world (behind New Zealand and South Africa). Australia has slipped to eight, their lowest ranking since World Rugby started doing these. That said, and I may be naively optimistic, I think the Wallabies are building something. Saturday night was a hell of an effort, the best I’ve seen from them in awhile, and they were massively unlucky to lose. We’ll see if that’s a one off or they are steadily improving before next year’s Rugby World Cup on home soil.

The Battle of the Iberian Peninsula ends with España scoring the lone goal near the 90th minute.

That game was good but wasn’t nearly as good as the one last night.

Bye, Ronaldo. We’ll see you at your next arrest.

¡España!

Unless the US figures something out real quick they’re going to lose 4-0 or 5-0. They look completely disorganized.

He says…as they tie it up

As Belgium retakes the lead a few seconds later

I guess “over the back” just isn’t a thing in soccer. You can just shove a guy to the ground from behind.

When you’re a star they let you do it.

So you get the Karl Malone treatment. Good to know.

The defense is no better organized than it was earlier, and they’re going to give up more goals because of it. They’re playing as if they’ve never played together before; it’s baffling.

I’ll have to take your word for it. I have no idea what an organized defense looks like. I’ll assume it’s first and foremost one that doesn’t give up easy goals.

At least we’re not wearing cotton candy jersies.

That’s the important thing.

It’d be nice if Pulisic woke the fuck up in this tournament.

When you see them scrambling constantly, that’s disorganized. An organized defense doesn’t need to scramble because everyone is defending their zone of the box and generally the back 4 is almost a straight line across the back. You’ll usually see “two banks of 4” in defense, the US is just all over the place and out of position every time down there

Generally, as long as you’re going for the ball and not the man, actually get to the ball, and are not straight into his back, you won’t be called

Good grief, that’s the kind of shit that happens in city league soccer.

Balogun a complete non-factor this game.
