The rowdies at Selhurst Park sound like they’re having a good time.
Coming away disappointed with a point against Citeh is a good thing.
In F1 news, McLaren locked out the front row for the GP which puts them in the…ahem…driving seat for winning the constructors’ championship.
Sainz put his Ferrari in 3rd, but Leclerc qualified only 14th and has a 10-place grid penalty to serve (for changing his battery) so will start dead last. Ferrari will need an amazing day to catch McLaren from here.
In other news, Hulkenberg put his Hass 4th - just ahead of Verstappen - and Bottas dragged his Sauber into 9th - ahead of Perez.
This all has probably killed the chance of any drama tomorrow.
United seem to have no interest in playing defense. It’s a terrible thing to see.
Stop me if you’ve heard this before: Verstappen dive-bombed the inside of the first corner of the Abu Dhabi GP.
What was different this time is that his intended victim, Piastri, didn’t back off and let him through so they crashed. This is what would happen every time Verstappen does this if the other driver doesn’t yield.
So tired of his shit. It’s F1, not a demolition derby. So are the race stewards, seemingly, as they have given him a 10-second penalty; which is unusual for a first corner incident.
That doesn’t help McLaren or Piastri, who ended up last and is now trying to work his way back through the field.
Leclerc stormed through the field from 19th to finish 3rd. Sainz finished 2nd. Yet, despite this and the gift of Verstappen taking one of the McLarens off the board, Norris lead from the start to finish and McLaren win the constructors’ title.
Brighton: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I can’t believe we couldn’t get Palace on the map in Texas. We suck.
I figured Limey’s VPN uses a CO ip address
I guess more people read Nick Hornby than I’d ever realized.
I assume Arsenal’s dominance is because they’re associated with guns.
I knew there was a reason I have such an affinity with Colorado.
I will also accept that people who are high a lot of the time will find it easier to follow the Palace.
I like Bruce Hornsby, with or without the Range
I’m going to try and make it through a Rockets/Warriors NBA game starting 2 hours from now. Apparently this is important, and also apparently GSW have beaten Houston 15 times in a row, I dunno why this matters so much tonight, and I don’t really care, but this has to stop now.
Rox are actually fun to watch again, when they’re on. It’s been a long time since I’ve given a damn.
Re the Spurs for us San’tonians
30 seconds in: What in the holy fuck is this court?
I guess Houston should have worn all-red jerseys?
Everybody redoes their court for the in-season tournament. They can be pretty garish.
I’m aware of the court situation, it’s the same in a different shade for everybody…doesn’t mean I have to like it.
I stayed up late enough to watch, let me vent. The goggles do nothing.
