Orioles at Astros, 9/18/23

Rutschman…3-0…3-1…doubles to LCF, Henderson scores

O’Hearn, tying run at 2B, nobody out…

O’Hearn singles off of Monternon an 0-2 pitch

O’s on the corners, nobody out for Hays…

You could set your watch to the bullpen giving up runs after the Astros tie or take a lead.

Not enough time to get Neris ready.

Ok, that’s three batters. Let’s try somebody else.

Is every high-leverage reliever for the Astros unavailable tonight?

Last time I saw him, he was falling down over the first base line on a tumble that will go down in ESPN lore.

I mean, Neris, Abreu and Pressly are clearly the three you use in this situation.

Of course. Just Dusty being Dusty.

Blum said earlier that Neris was reenacting that during PFP today.

But you can’t start warming one of them up after the lead is surrendered.

Montero should have never been called on to face the Orioles top three hitters in the first place.

Strike out for the first out

Whew.

Nicely done Maldy.

Henderson has scored three of their four runs so far tonight.

And we’re tied again.

Nothing comes easy these days …

Fucking Montero.
