Orioles @ Astros, June 30, 2021

The league has to investigate this.

To the 8th…4-2 still

This is the single worst umpired game in the last 30 years. It’s not even close.

Why would I have been hopeful that we could still win this game if our pitchers could hold them at 4 after this stretch of uninspired play?

this is not a horribly horrible game, but the Astros performance is baffling, even with CB.

Game ain’t over

That pitch to Straw was as bad a call as I’ve ever seen. The most puzzling thing is that it was a fastball, relatively straight. I can see missing the occasional breaking ball, off speed pitch with a lot of movement. But a fastball that starts out a foot off the plate and never gets any closer, that’s just a level of incompetence that’s difficult to fathom.

Bucknor is not an asshole like Joe West or Angel Hernandez but he is more incompetent.

5-2

This has simply not been a legitimate contest.

I still think Eric Gregg was worse but I never thought I’d see its like.

I’d give the edge to Eric Gregg, simply because it was the NLCS

The pitch to Yordan, for example, that was a sort of crossfire delivery that swept across the plate and crossed the plate a clear ball. But I can see why he missed that call. I can conceive of a situation where a normal, competent professional might make a similar error. The Straw pitch, there is just absolutely no justification. It’s criminal incompetence.

Well…six outs to work with. Chasing three runs.

Altuve takes strike one at the bill of his cap…0-2…1-2…singles up the middle

Oh shit…runner on base for Brantley

I mean… I hope we come back, but I can’t get worked up over this farce.

I’ve soothed my anger with rum.

Another pop up for Brantley. Who didn’t see that coming.
