Opening embedded links in new tabs vs same tab

On the topic More Distractions, Col.SphinxDrummond’s embedded link in the first post opened for me in a new tab, but Waldo’s 3rd post opened in the same tab, which I don’t like. For anyone else like me, I did find a setting in the user preferences (click your avatar in the upper right, click your name, click preferences, click interface and the setting is there) to open all embedded links in a new tab. I think you have to close the browser and re-open for the setting to take effect.

Anyway, hope that helps someone.

Thanks for pointing this out. I’ve set this as the site default for anyone who registers from here on out, but everyone else may need to change the setting in their own profile.
