So college athletes now have a variety of income-generating opportunities available to them. One that has been specifically blessed is selling autographs. Is there anything to stop a well-heeled booster from telling a recruit “the day after you enroll I’ll buy one of your autographs for $1000 (or $10000 or $100000)”?
Yes - the one time transfer rule. Boosters will figure out that a one time payment doesn’t mean shit.

It will be great until it isn’t. It wont end corruption. Players will be happy at least until jealousy raises its ugly head. Then people will complain that it’s not fair.
