Syracuse University?

Yes, good old Southwestern University. I was class of 91! And my dad was class of 61.

Went back for my 25th reunion and couldn’t believe how much Georgetown had changed. But the Cullen Building looked the same.

There’s a Mercedes Benz of Georgetown now.

Way back when there was the Ford dealer who had white F-250s and almost nothing else.

And only the L&M Cafe for breakfast. Sonic for lunch.

Do you remember the band Larry? They were fairly big in Austin in the late 90’s.

No, I don’t remember them.

Bob Schneider shows got me laid a couple of times back in the day.

Local jam band who looked like they might break out, but never really got big outside of Austin. My brother and his then roommates got me turned onto them. If you like (early) Widespread Panic, Larry is probably in your wheelhouse. Otherwise, just another footnote in the Austin music scene.

I do like Widespread Panic. I’ll check them out.

Nice. They released an album in the late 90’s called Here I Am. Don’t think it’s on Spotify or another streaming platform, but pretty certain you can find an old cd for cheap.

Soulhat, fuck yeah!! Loved them in SA 30+ years ago ish, can’t count that far back.
Hadden Sayers from that time as well. Loved his closing tune End of the Road. Worth a listen! Grab a beer.

Anyone remember another fellow SU alum, Earthpig?

Cousin of mine went to Southwestern back in the 2000’s, he showed up at a family bbq with a shirt , in the same font/style as Keep Austin Weird, that said ā€œKeep Georgetown Normalā€. I thought that was pretty good.
