Look what i got today.
Dang!!
Can you punch Wally Backman in the face with it?
That does remind me that no matter what happens, this season, next season or for the rest of my lifeâŚthe Yankees can eat a bag of dicks.
Top 6.
Brown pitching.
Pham - doubles to left. ( Had a chance to get him at 2nd if the throw isnât short hopped).
McNeil - singles up the middle. Pham scores.
Vogelbach - Ks looking.
Baty - McNeil stolen base - E2 - McNeil to 3rd - ground out 3U.
Pitching change.
(gotta go pick up dinner).
Stanek in to pitch.
Alvarez F8.
Mid 6. Mets 6 Astros 0.
Wellllll, at least Mattress Mack wonât be worrying about having to pay on his Win-It-All, Get-It-All promotion.
Someone explain to our front office that tanking wonât help us get talent in the draft.
Sweet bling
All things considered, I shoulda seen this coming. Our best batter is out, we have lost multiple starting pitchers, and after Framber and Javier our options are sparse.
Good thing I recorded our playoff games last year. If we donât get healthy fast we could be stuck watching everyone else play in October.
Shawn shaved his beard.
Dusty needs to find a way to get Yainer some rest here soon.
Heâs clearly getting too many ABs.
U FOO!
Can we get past scoring just 1 run tonight?
Maybe the Mets will get overconfident and weâll win the next two .
Everytime I think they hit rock bottom, they play another game.
I remember a few years back when the Astros had a disastrous May, but more than made up for it the rest of the season. Tonight sucks as has recent history, but if we get most of our pitchers back and our bats get going, anything is possible.
Negative.
Rock bottom was a 27-46 record, 15.5 games back of 1st on June 19th in 2013.
Things are a little rough right now but they are only 5.5 games back and play Texas 10 more times this season.
Itâs a long season.
This is obviously not the 2013 team, but this ainât the 2022 team either. There is a lot going wrong, coupled with some horrible luck. A lot has to change for them to get back into Postseason contention.
Speaking of bad luck: Diaz has his SLG up to .509, but per Statcast, his expected SLG is .577. His hard-hit rate is third on the team behind Yordan and Tucker.
