I’ve heard Brenda Lee sing Rockin Around the Christmas Tree thrice in the last 2 hours. It’s a fine song in theory, but there’s something about her voice that annoys the hell out of me.

I’ve had cable service with 200 music channels before. Some of them can be pretty good. Hopefully they’ll play Tiny Tim before too long.
We were talking about Los Lobos recently. They have a perfectly respectable Christmas album.
Oh I’m about to totally take over. Los Lobos is a great choice for a couple of songs.
…but now it’s the Platters singing Blue Christmas so I ain’t changing nothin

You can stream the whole record, and there are interviews with brief discussions of the songs interspersed, which is an outSTANding development because I’d always wondered why they included La Murga which is not a Christmas song PUR SAY. The answer seems to be because they felt like it, which is good enough for me.
I don’t know how that link is going to work, but it’s out there. I found it on their site so you can do that, too.
