That’s all for Garcia. Maton in.
Maton in to face Kelenic
And we’re tied.
Tied
First fucking pitch is a hanging slider right down the fucking center of the plate.
Aren’t you supposed to watch those?
I don’t know what’s worse, the pitch to Kelenic or the “single” by Toro by that fucking shift that kept the inning alive. I need to punch something.
Why did we take out Garcia for Maton?
Radio talking about how bad he is on breaking pitches. Boom.
Let’s be clear…“we” didn’t. Dusty Baker did. There is no reason for anything he does.
And now he gets the strikeout.
I just told you!!! He has had trouble all year with breaking pitches. That is why Maton.
Pure speculation here, but maybe that’s why Jake O is talking shit about him to the media. Guessing his slapdash approach is not popular with the pitching staff.
That decision was not slapdash if you believe Sparks. He said Maton for that hitter all inning long.
Uh, if you saw the pitch, it was a fucking spinning meatball. ANYONE would’ve crushed that if they swung at it.
Kelenic has very few hits against the Astros, and a LOT of Ks. Seems like all our pitchers have had success against him. I guess if the radio guys knew that Maton was in to throw off-speed, then Kelenic knew it too. He got the hanging curveball and crushed it.
Tucker!
The old 9-6 groundout.
He sat on a curve, of course. The curve hung.
I do like the graphic overlay that shows where the infielders are playing in real-time.
Thus begins (and ends) my praise of the Youtube baseball broadcast experience.
