I do think it’s fair to say defensive excellence does not seem to be a high priority for some of our AL West bunkmates.
The Mariners defense would not have made a difference the last two games. The Astros came home and, as Espada said in his interview earlier today, they started swinging at good pitches to hit again.
In Kansas City, they looked at hittable pitches and swung frequently at junk out of the zone in pitchers’ counts.
Let’s hope they don’t get to 12 and hit a wall like yesterday.

There are many sophisticated and knowledgeable baseball people on this site who may challenge your opinion, politely I hope because you have been a good contributor.
