Dana Brown does look a bit like Tony Dorsett but not seeing Spencer looking like Ted Nugent or Jake looking like the lead singer of NSYNC. Who the fuck was considered NSYNCs lead singer?
A lot of different people had to step up at various times this year to make this happen.
Talk about a team effort.
I admittedly don’t mind being wrong as I didn’t feel this was in the cards back in April/May, but it’s a 162 game grind of a season for a reason.
The early season pitching injuries were terrible but the rebuilding of the staff on the fly is something better than remarkable.

Hell if I know. I suppose it’s Jake’s hair. Apparently Spencer’s walk up music is Ted Nugent. I didn’t know pitchers had walk up music, but there’s a lot I don’t know. Like the lead singer of NSYNC.

They should give him a couple of chances out of the bullpen in these remaining games.
I’ll write this only once, beisbol gods be praised, but if there was ever a club that was meant to grind it out, patch together a precarious situation to eek out a division title and get a shot at the postseason yet again, it’s this franchise/club.
Tenacity, determination and resilience are imbued in this team.

The Bench Clan is 3-0 when attending in entirety this season. I think this was the first ever division clincher that I’ve attended. Great game! What a season.

If he can throw the ball, he get’s the mound on game 1. There might be a short leash, but if he’s willing to go he’s more than deserved it.
We made it through the season without major arterial disease!
7 out 8 years running. If we can win a series in playoffs, I’ll be happy (until of course until the next series, of which I expect to readjust my expectations)

I agree that Verlander has earned his spot. Its tough to balance rostering the best team vs a HOF that deserves a spot for intangibles/history.
I don’t think he starts in the WC round but I see a path for him to start game #1 the ALDS if they make it. Of course he has to have a short leash, but it could work. Have designated reliever ready to finish an inning if he gets in trouble. Neris? Have Blanco ready to start a fresh inning if JV can’t go 5.
If the WC goes 3 and the Astros prevail, then none of those 3 starters ( Framber, Brown, and Kikuchi) are rested for game 1, but can go 2-4 and then Framber back for game 5 on regular rest.
Arrighetti can be a multi-inning weapon if a starter gets pulled early.
She sounds like she’d have a hard time being happy about anything.
