I had confidence that the team would turn it around, back in May I would look at the West Division standings and think they just need a good streak of winning 11 out of 13 games and they would be right back in the chase.
I had no faith. They looked horrible. The pitching was a disaster. I can’t believe how they turned it around.

Big decision on JV coming. I think he should be on the roster . Debatable, perhaps, but he has earned it in Houston, imo.

I think they treat his next start as a way to see exactly where he is. They can’t be emotional about this. If JV doesn’t have it? Tough shit.

I think he should pitch in relief in his next appearance. That would be his role in the playoffs.

But. He hasn’t done this before. I think they have (on paper) a perfectly good bullpen. I’m not sure what JV’s role is.
