While that’s true, the fact is that the strength of the team is still SP. The structural problem of the team is getting no offense from 1b/LF/CF, and a lineup full of players chasing every pitch under the sun. It’s nothing new for Altuve, but factor in Diaz, Dubon, and Pena and suddenly you have giant bat-to-ball holes that result in a lot more runners left on.
This offseason they’ll have to address 1B, 3B, LF, and CF - and figure out whether they’re keeping their RF and SP1. I don’t see how that possibly happens without trading one of Framber or Tucker.
I blame astros.com who started talking about the postseason like it was a done deal 3 weeks ago.
