Less than ideal
99.9% of this goes on the Astros.
But that strike 3 call to Carlos was inexcusably bad in a GIANT situation.
And if you tell me itâs up to Yuli to connect on one of five 93 mph FBs Iâll take my chances.
That was bad, but this game is 100.1% on the Astros.
There are losses where you say âoh well.â
There are those which piss you off.
This one was the latter.
This one leaves a hangoverâŚ
3 for 16 w/RISPâŚ34 individual LOB. 34.
Had to make up for yesterday.
Even with thatâŚGraveman, Pressly end Stanek all gave up runs 8th inning or later. If any one of the three has a zero inning, you win. But alas, when it rains it pours.
They canât all be Raley.
I agree.
If say it was 50% on the offense, 50% on the bullpen, and the other half on the umpiring.
100% on Graveman and Pressly. The offense cannot score 10+ every game. You gotta win some 1-0 or 2-0.
Case in point:
SF 2
Oak 1
Exactly. You take a lead into the 9th, at home, you have to win.
With Graveman here, extend that into the 8th. Two outs, bases empty, then two doubles?
ETA: I have no clue what Pressly was thinking ahead 0-1. A FB down the middle to the hottest hitter they have? Why not sliders until he Ks? WTF?
Donât know what Pressly was thinking. But youâre absolutely right, you have to win the close games too, not just blowouts. Today they had their two best relievers with a chance, and both did not deliver.
In truth, I expected the answer to be âYes!â.
TY, Bench.
Apparently Sewald rejected offers from the Astros & Blue Jays b/f signing a minor league contract w/ the Mariners.
