You could bring in Meyers and move Dubon to 1B for the remainder of the game. Or, bring in Maldy to catch and move Diaz to 1B.
Or you could just not send Singleton and his sub .400 OPS up there in the first place.

Blummer just gave a shout-out to his Catahoula Leopard Dog at home. Never heard of that one, but just googled and that is a handsome dog.
Catahoulas are magnificent beasts. They typically carry a Merle gene, which s considered a “flaw” in most breeds. But they are indeed handsome devils.

Every other day of Uncle Mike in the lineup is infinitely better than Singleton every day.
Editing to add: Even if Mike is at 75 percent, I’d rather have him up.

Agreed. Which is why I asked. At some point, you just have to give it a shot and see how his shoulder holds up. Even if it’s exclusively having him be the designated hitter with Diaz or Dubon at 1B on the days he starts intially.
