This really feels like 2016, struggling to compete with a stars and scrubs mix (this time mostly due to injuries, not roster construction). They’ve been on a better pace this year than 2016, largely because the ‘scrubs’ (career backups and unheralded rookies) have over-performed.
This was about the point in the season where the 2016 team began to unravel as the bullpen was overworked into pink slime. It’s a good thing we won’t have to worry about that this year… oh, wait…

Can somebody fucking tell Dusty that it’s fucking August and he’s a in fucking postseason race. This isn’t fucking last year with a 10 game lead. Stop fucking around and win the game in front of you.
