For me, it goes beyond a potential offensive boost. The Astros’ veterans seem to be way too comfortable with the way September is going. It’s time to make them uncomfortable.
Like I said, JV gave up 5 runs to last place Oakland with Maldonado last week; Framber gave up seven tonight to the last place Royals. If Maldy isn’t getting the guys he catches to perform at acceptable levels, what exactly does he bring to the table?
