That’s all they’ve got at this point. They need to roll out each and every one of the red-meat voters in the upcoming election so that they can finish the job of putting the rest of the election-overturn pieces in place in time for 2024. Martyring Bannon plays to their narrative that the Dems are the ones trying to establish an autocracy.
I saw that voter registration in Kansas is up 1000%.
I doubt many of those new voters are registering to vote for the people who just tried to block a bill protecting their right to contraception.
I hope this truly is a tipping point, where people realize that the two parties are not the same.

As he entered the Capitol through a door with broken glass panels, Bledsoe filmed himself saying, “Where are those pieces of s— at.” Alarms were blaring in the background of the video.
“Who were the pieces of s—?” Assistant U.S. Attorney Jamie Carter asked Bledsoe Wednesday. Bledsoe said he was “being a loudmouth,” insisting he was not referring to lawmakers but rather the people whom he believed at the time had stolen an election.
Carter then showed an image that Bledsoe had reposted on social media that depicted members of Congress hunkered down inside the House amid the riot, with a caption suggesting that politicians should be scared.
Bledsoe said that it was “just something I reposted,” and that he didn’t have all the information at the time.
When prosecutors confronted him with a text he sent to his wife, saying it was “good” that someone planted bombs near the Capitol, Bledsoe said he really didn’t mean “good.” He also claimed he didn’t really mean it when he wrote that he “stormed the Capitol.”
Matter of fact I didn’t even mean to go to the Capitol, see, I was on my way down to the bingo parlor, at the YMCA, and well, one thing after another and instructions got all fouled up

Once again, the J6 committee are just carpet bombing Trump and his goons. Some truly shocking stuff.
Not central to it all, but Secret Service agents were calling their families to say goodbye. They were expecting to die.
Trump was playing generalissimo here. Watching from the rear echelons, tweeting out orders, talking to Giuliani and “senators” - none of such calls being logged.
In fact, he had no calls logged for about 6 hours, despite the fact that he was calling all of his commanders on the ground.
A nice touch of pettiness was highlighting Hawley’s fist pump and then showing cctv of him running away through the Capitol like OJ in a Hertz commercial.

That seems to be the case, according to the anonymous WH security person.
I’ve never been surrounded by a bloodthirsty mob, but if I’m an armed agent I like my chances against a bunch of inbreds. I guess I’d need to know how much ammunition they carry.
They knew that people in the mob had been spotted earlier carrying ARs. Apparently that was the reason for the lack of shooting by the police; they didn’t want to start a shooting war because they believed they were outgunned as well as clearly outnumbered.
Just to clarify for pedantry, the person is known to the committee, they concealed his identity for his own safety.
True. The fact that’s necessary is depressing.
