Incoming TX Cold

I’m scouting new residences.

Sometimes I think it’s the brain that is the inoperable part of his body.

This is fucking ridiculous:

It is, but this it what the majority of stupid Texans voted for, and will vote for again.

Are only the retail consumers (residences and business) that use gas for heating getting the bill? It seems that retail customers that use electricity tied to a grid that is partially supported by gas burning generators should be factored in. But yeah, what a bend 'em over and fuck 'em in the butt kind of price gouge.

It gets worse when you read the article. The current railroad commissioner has vested interests in the two companies that benefited most from the freeze: Energy Transfer Partners and Enterprise Products Partners. She is in bed with the industry she is supposed to be regulating.

You sound surprised.

Not surprised at all. It’s par for the course for the current Republican Party.

Get ready for deadly freeze 2.0.

If you don’t have a fixed-rate contract…get one!

Don’t worry…ERCOT is on the job.

You spelled DERPCOT wrong.

I have more faith in EPCOT

For future reference:

Abbott is all-in on DerpCOT being robust enough to get him re-elected.

There is still damage from 2021 people are paying for and still not in their homes.

Plus there are new fees on electric bills. It’s not just the grid that he screwed up.

We could all be without power for the entire year dining on sawdust and Abbott would still be re-elected.

He’s got to get through a primary…

Against the likes of Huffines? I doubt that he’s very worried.

Yep. He’ll skate through the primary then demolish Beto in the general.

Oh, I forgot about Huffines’ “put prayer back in school” pledge. I’ll bet he’ll be first in line to let Muslim children put prayer mats in their classrooms.
