The only thing that makes any sense is that the Mariners would leave Malone out there for the duration. They have two more games this weekend and need to preserve their bullpen.

I am thinking but they are still working on the best way to present the information in a way that is relevant to the average viewer.

I wonder why JV went out for the seventh. It seems like it would be a good opportunity for some of the lesser relievers to get some reps. And save some of the pitch count numbers for Verlander and his Tommy John recovery season.
