I read something the other day that I think Dec 28 was the Baseball Solstice, the halfway point between the last out of the World Series and the start of Spring Training. Maybe I read it here but still, happy new year and let’s all have a great one!

Twice smoked ham is resting, black eyed peas and greens are tender, Mrs Hawk’s World Famous Apple Pie is cooling. Just gotta make the cornbread. Gonna feast in about an hour. My favorite eating day of the year!
