Giants @ Astros, August 12, 2020

Did Tucker (9-pitch GO) and Toro (8-pitch BB) have a hand in an early shower for Cahill?

Can he get a hold?

Yes. Kapler said Cahill would only go around 50 pitches.

No, it’s not a save situation. A hold is when a pitcher enters in a save situation, but doesn’t finish the game.

Kalas needs to shut the fuck up about the Astros having won this series. This game ain’t over.

TY!
Looked it up, but MLB reference had to many words…
You are a good teacher.

In that case…“too many words”…

Uneventful 9th…Astros win 5-1

Just for lulz, this post elevated me to “Regular” status.

Needed that. 2-3 vs Giants. Need 2-3 vs Mariners and 1-2 vs Rocks. 5-3 homestand.

Wasn’t paying attention, tracking the game on this thread while doing other things.
Thot you had handed off PBP; did not realize you were still doing it.
Apologize for the untimely distraction.
TY for your grace - and answers.
Snuff

BTW This clip explains what happened to Railey in the 9th. By finishing the 8th, after facing only two batters, apparently he did not have to face a 3rd batter.
Crossing the line at the beginning of the 9th forced him to face at least one more batter.

Watching LOTR with two grandsons a year ago as they peppered me with all kinds of questions: “Are these good guys or bad guys, etc.”
I asked them “Do you ask questions like this every time you watch a movie!”
They clarified, “Bapa, this time your are answering our questions!”
You did that for me last night.
Thanks!

Thought, not thot. According to the Urban Dictionary, thot, is short for: that ho over there.

Had no idea.
TY, Col.
I have used it as a verb for a long time. (No insult intended, HH.)

I thought we’d all agreed that Hudson is a THOT.

I get insulted all the time. I also had no idea what “THOT” meant
