I have not received a “not responding” message, so the machine is great.
The wireless mouse is in shipping hell and that I’d like as I do not go anywhere here without this laptop.
But, I am using the G-Suite products and I have a learning curve I’m still working on. Mainly the drives. Somethings I can drag and drop, some I can’t. Some have to be on the desktop/drive. Kind of irritating that I can’t just do one thing regardless of where it is saved.
And Google calendar. Anyone know how to invite a group without having to type each name individually? That’s irritating as crap.
The assistant before never even sent calendar invites. I didn’t know who was going to which meetings. Grr. She’s doing other passive aggressive things, but the boss seems to like me and that’s what I care about.
And I’ve had more to drink in the last 5 weeks than I have in the last 5 years. But is a great place to work and I really like the Dean.
That’s some serious horsepower - especially if it’s a newer one with an M1 chip (you can check by clicking the Apple logo on the menu bar and going to “About This Mac”). In addition to processing power, the M1 runs cooler/quieter and has excellent battery life.
my ThinkPad Yoga 370 is 13 inch, and it’s about as big as I ever want to get. I have an Asus ZenBook 3 for my personal PC and it’s even better. I guess some people like a giant screen, but not me.
Not sure I have access to create a group. Which makes no sense to me. I did create a “label” but that does not work on the calendar. I guess I’ll keep working at it. That was easy is Outlook. EASY!
Clearly there’s a difference between what one needs at the desk vs. what one can live with on the road. I have four 24" screens at my desk, but use my MacBook Air on the road. If I need an extra screen, I just use Sidecar with my iPad Air.
