It is good they did it but they did it in February at the beginning of spring training. What makes this news to post now?
He also humbly, honestly, thoughtfully and gratefully accepted more money somewhere else. Sorry if I am not moved to think this is more than a PR type statement that most players make when they leave the place they started with for another opprotunity.

As much as I absolutely loved his defense, it’s not enough. He in no way earned a contract as big as he sought being the pop-up machine he was for the last few years. I think they both made the right move and he can try to spin whatever he wants. We as OWA fans know.
