College football 2024

I am piling on here, but I also agreed with the decision to go for two. Mark and I were watching while having lunch and talked about “they should go for two” all the way down the field on the last drive. Venables was apoplectic about whatever the issue was for him, but I understand what you are saying about the pressure he is feeling.

Oh, man. I just watch some brief highlights. Outscored 21-7 in the 4th quarter, lose lead in 4th quarter, retake the lead with under two minutes to go, give up game-winning TD with 8 seconds to go. Will someone please tell me what the Ag CB was doing on the last TD? He allowed the WR to go inside him on a slant with no resistance at all.

At the half, BYU 20 Colorado 0.

CU really showed everyone just how much they deserved to be in the Playoffs.

ACC has lost 9 bowl games so far. A record for most bowl games lost in a season.

Some NFL front office has been spared some embarrassment by the Carson Beck injury. Without Bowers and McConkie to throw to he was very average (and downright bad for stretches). Coming off UCL surgery you don’t know what you’ll get, and he’ll probably be drafted in a more appropriate slot. Without that injury, somebody would have bought the hype and used an early first-round pick on him. Somebody desperate for a QB may still do that, but I predict a bad case of buyer’s regret if they do.

This class looks to me to be a lot of potential buyer’s regret if you draft a QB in the first round.

This sounds like a job perfectly suited to the New York Jets.

The drop off from the 24 class to the 25 one is staggering. Sanders, maybe Ward will probably be the first QB off the board and he would have been, 4th at best last year but maybe even 6th? Williams, Daniels and Maye are well ahead, Nix, Penix and McCarthy are in the same range in my mind.

Yeah, there’s a lot of fool’s gold in this class. It will be interesting to see if these guys develop in to NFL caliber QBs down the road, but most of them are just exceptional athletes that probably aren’t going to fare well against the best of the best.

Cam Ward seems like the best bet to me.

Last couple of minutes of Washington-Louisville is pretty wild

So is Illinois-South Carolina.

As I stated to my pops earlier, nothing says “We belong in the playoffs!” like losing to a team with 75 total passing yards on the day.

Baylor just roughed the punter down 13 with a shade under 4 to play.

Absolutely brutal.

He was an hour late doing it too.

Aggies gonna Aggie.

Err, Baylors gonna Baylor.
